FAQ about Viessmann.live

What functions does Viessmann.live offer? How do I register? How do I take part in the live events? How can I get involved myself? You can find the answers to these questions and many others here.

In principle, our virtual event is open to anyone who's interested. To take part in the event, you will need to register in advance. You can do this using the "Register now" at the top right of our website. Simply fill out the brief form and submit it. Once you have done so, check your inbox for an e-mail from us and click the link in the e-mail to confirm your registration. Please also check your spam folder if you can't see an e-mail from us in your inbox. It is important that you use the e-mail address that you entered on the form when you log in to take part in the virtual event.

Yes, your registration will remain valid for the entire duration of the event.

You can take part at short notice at any time. Either log in with your existing Viessmann account or simply create a Viessmann account at https://account.viessmann.com/register and you'll be ready to go.

You can use your smartphone or tablet to take part in the virtual event, but this does mean you will not have access to the full range of functions with the highest level of quality.

We can guarantee the full range of functions if you use a laptop or desktop with a resolution of at least 1280 x 768 pixels in combination with the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser. If you experience any problems it often helps to refresh your browser by pressing F5.

You can find your customer number on our Viessmann invoices, for example. However, even if you are unable to find your number, you can create a new account with us at https://account.viessmann.com/register to participate in the event.

Absolutely. If you are taking part in a live event for the first time, you'll find that everything is self-explanatory. If you do have any questions, use the "Chat" tab to speak to someone from our Service team. Alternatively, you can use this contact form.

The full program is presented on the Viessmann.live homepage and under the "Program" menu item after you log in to the event.

All items on the program are listed under "Program" on the left of the menu during the live event. You can either add a specific item on the program to your calendar (by clicking the calendar icon) or save it as a program favorite (by clicking the star icon).

You can find the livestreams in the event under the "Live" menu item. There, you will always have a choice between two different live events with different programs. If you would like to visit a Workshop or a Deep Dive, click "Join now" on the the relevant program entry.

There are two options:

1) Many products have Expert Hours in which you can put questions to our experts live, or simply chat to them. You can find the virtual trade show stand under "Products." Please note the opening hours for this.

2) If you would like to chat to Viessmann product experts, go to the "Chat" tab, click "New chat" and choose the person you'd like to chat to. You can see all available Viessmann representatives at the top of the list. You can also launch a video meeting to talk to others.

The Viessmann sales representatives will be taking part in the event. Under "Chat," simply click "New chat" and then search for your sales representative by name. You can also contact your sales representative via the normal channels before the event and arrange an appointment for a chat with him or her.

You can take part in all events without any restrictions. However, there will be a limit of 30 participants per Workshop. In other words, it's best to be punctual!

There are various options depending on the program item.

1) In a livestream, you can submit questions via "Q&A" or "Live chat." Both will open if you click the speech bubble or question mark icon, as applicable, at the top right of the picture.

2) It's easy to have your say in the Workshops. You will be taking part with video and audio. You can also actively take part using "Live chat" or "Q&A."

All participants will appear by name under "Chat." Click "New chat" and type the name of the person you want to talk to in the search box.

Under "Chat," click "Select one or more chat partners" and simply choose multiple people to chat to.

The videos in our media library on Viessmann.live are available in German, English and French. Our livestreams at the event will be available in German, English, French and Italian. Some items on the program will be offered in other languages as well.

If you have selected English as your preferred language at the top right of the page, you will automatically be taken to the English-speaking event when the event starts. There, you can also select other languages in advance if you wish; doing so will take you to our international program.

For the best video streaming experience, we recommend that you use a browser such as Google Chrome or the latest version of Microsoft Edge. Your computer's resolution should be at least 1280 x 768 pixels. You can actively take part with a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), but there will be some limitations on what you can do.

First of all, make sure that you have entered the correct password. If you're not sure, you can also select "Reset password" and enter a new password. If you still cannot log in, try clearing cookies in your browser. To do this, open your browser settings and, under "Privacy and security," select the "Clear browsing data" option. Try logging in again, and it should work.

If no event is currently taking place, the video will still continue to run and will show a still image.

There could be a number of reasons for this. Check the following options:

a) You will have access to the full range of functions of our virtual event if you are using a laptop or PC with a display resolution of at least 1280 x 768 pixels. We also recommend that you use the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser. If you are experiencing problems, it often helps to refresh your browser again by pressing F5 on you keyboard.

b) The permitted number of participants may already have been reached. In this case, check to see whether this item on the program is going to be repeated at any time.

If the "Join video meeting now" button is greyed out, you will need to enable access to your camera and microphone in your internet browser.

c) Some browsers will automatically ask you to permit access to your camera and microphone. You will need to confirm this before you can take part.

d) If your browser does not automatically ask for this, you can click the little padlock icon in the address bar of your browser to grant access.

Once you have granted permission, the "Join video meeting now" button will switch from grey to orange. If you click this button, you will enter the video meeting and be able to talk to the other participants.

You can switch off your camera and microphone using the corresponding icons at the lower edge of the screen if you do not wish to be visible or would prefer just to listen rather than speak.
